DevFests are large, community-run developer events happening around the globe focused on community building and learning about Google’s technologies.

The 2nd annual DevFest is a one-day tech conference that delivers a diverse range of Google-related and other technical and community talks organized by GDG Springfield and Women Techmakers Springfield. The conference will take place on Friday, September 20, 2019 at the Alamo Drafthouse Springfield.

The first DevFest event was held in December 2018 and included discussion on Augmented Reality, Firebase & Android Development, Google Cloud Platform, Machine Learning with Tensorflow, and iOS and Android UI development with Flutter.

GDG Springfield is comprised of a local group of developers with a specific focus on utilizing Google products and APIs. Our local chapter is associated with the Mid-America Technology Alliance (MATA), hosts a variety of technical activities for developers in our area, and has collaborated with Women in Tech, SGF Web Devs in the past.

Google Women Techmakers is a global initiative providing free events, training, and programs with the objective of increasing visibility, community, and access to resources for women in technology.
