LinuxConf [ZA] is a one-day conference aimed for the Linux and Open Source community within South Africa. It provides anyone working on or with Linux and Open Source tools & applications, or with a passion for Open Source development, to discover new trends, network with like-minded individuals, irrespective of whether the attendees are developers, system or database administrators, or anyone else working with Linux and Open Source applications.
For the conference on 7&9 October, talks should be 40 minutes long, including time for Q&A afterward and can take the form of a talk or demo. On 9 October we will be running either 3-hour half-day tutorial sessions and/or 6-hour full-day training sessions.
Topics that can be covered at the conference can range from Linux Kernel and OS, Linux Distributions, Containers, Virtualisation, System Administration, Open Source Applications, Networking and Development Environments. In short, anything that pertains to Linux or Open Source tools or applications is a suitable topic.
Attendees of LinuxConf [ZA] range from sysadmins, database admins, developers and management, and range from junior to experienced.
Just make sure you are not doing a sales pitch in your talk.
