A statement concerning COVID-19 from the React Loop Team
Updated: March 24, 2020
What we are doing: Preparing for the worst, hoping for the best. Just like you we're dealing with pure uncertainty as to what the state of things will be 3 months from now. Will things be better during the summer season? We don't know, the CDC doesn't know, nobody knows.
In the case that React Loop 2020 cannot happen on June 19th, 2020:
If it looks like the conference can confidently be rescheduled to sometime during 2020 all current tickets will be valid for that later event.
If it looks like 2020 is out of the question all tickets will be refunded. We are prepared for the loss of ticketing and payment fees we have incurred. We have no desire or need to hang on to our ticket holders' money if the conference cannot happen in a reasonable timeframe.
What we're not doing:
We are not considering converting React Loop 2020 into a virtual event. We commend other conferences for giving it a go, but we don't think that's what our ticket holders paid for.
