Join our community at the Lead Dev New York, where engineering leaders learn to nurture high performing teams, apply the best tech and tools for the job, and thrive as they meet the challenges of software engineering leadership.
Being a technical leader is hard Whether you are scaling a team, coaching and developing your reports, or trying to stay ahead of the latest tech developments – you’re constantly juggling priorities while making business-critical decisions and releasing high-quality products.
The Lead Developer New York is a two-day conference packed full of inspirational and practical sessions from the world’s top technical leaders, focussed around three core themes: teams, tech and tools.
The Lead Developer was designed with the needs and pain points of technical team leads in mind. We programme each conference around our three key themes of Team, Tech & Tools. The talks are designed to help very practically with common problems in these areas.
In our five years we’ve covered everything from leadership to recruitment, team dynamics to imposter syndrome. Our technical talks are designed to keep tech leads current - anything from new languages, frameworks and technologies to case studies dealing with common issues such a rapid scaling. We look at tools and processes and ways of working. Finally, we’re thinking about the personal development of an engineering manager and how to continue to grow the key skills needed by an effective and inspirational technical leader.
What we love about running The Lead Developer is the feeling of community. In our audience, we find a total diversity of background, technologies and industries, but a common set of issues.
We’re really looking forward to welcoming everyone to The Lead Developer New York 2020. If you’ve been to any of our conferences before, you'll know that you can expect brilliant content and a friendly atmosphere.
